Soundarya Rajinikanth Engagement stills

Superstar Rajinikanth’s youngest daughter Soundarya was engaged to a city businessman Ashwin Ramkumar in a simple ceremony on February 17. The chief minister was present with his entire family to bless the to-be married couple.

Kamal Haasan had also graced the ceremony and had stayed on till the end.

 

  

Ajith was there with his wife Shalini and so is director Shankar with his wife. Others who attended the high profile function are Rajini's mentor K Balachandar, producers Panchu Arunachalam, Kalaipuli S Thanu, directors S P Muthuraman, lyricist Vairamuthu and actors Prabhu and Vijayakumar among others.

Soundarya and Ashwin are engaged

Soundarya Rajinikanth and Ashwin Kumar are engaged! The engagement ceremony took place last evening at Park Sheraton Hotel in Chennai. It was a grand evening, with smiles all around and several stars present to bless the superstar's daughter and her fiance. The guest of honour was, of course, Tamil Nadu Cheif Minister and long time well-wisher of Rajni, Kalaignar Karunanithi.

Other members of the CM's family, including his wife, his daughter MP Kanimozhi and Durga Stalin also graced the occasion. Several members of the film fraternity turned up at the august event to wish the young couple and congratulate Rajinikanth and wife Latha. Soundarya and Ashwin[son of city-based industrialist Ramkumar, who runs a construction company], were of course, the happiest of the lot, and rightly so!
